"Every student can learn just not on the same day or in the same way" After serving for 35 years in UJVNL and fulfilling all the family commitments ,the long desire to serve the community started taking shape in form of Learning Tree. One aspect which I always wanted to work on was in the field of empowering children with special needs. Since it's conception the school has guided and strengthened both children and parents with their structured approach. Our children are happy and engaged in their special education classes, therapy, social experiences, and co-curricular activities. The school has been taking pro-active steps to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of knowledge imparted and therefore in year 2019 it got the accreditation from NIOS to conduct exams for class 3rd ,5th and 8th. Our aim is to enable every child to flourish by encouraging and building upon their unique strengths and interests. We prepare students for learning beyond school years and become life-long learners. All this is made possible by the strong partnership developed with parents, students and teachers.

Children are happy when they have a secure and happy environment. Not only this, Learning Tree provides a learning environment, where the activities are planned according to the need of child so that every child is able to reach out for the highest potential. The curriculum is planned in such a way where all the skills are taken into consideration like physical, mental, social, emotional, A.D.L and academics. Constructive play and activities, involving good behaviour and healthy habits are the essential part of the curriculum. We ensure that children with special needs are nurtured, cradled and loved We believe in fundamental dignity of each individual. Every start is a new experience and every new start is challenging. The school started in year 2011 with 2 children. Today the school has established itself in field of special education. We are constantly striving to make sure that the children make the best possible progress in all areas of need. In order to raise standards, we believe we must focus on and value, all aspects of children’s development. We have high aspirations and constantly discuss and evaluate whether any child is ready to return to mainstream. We work hard to improve our provision. We work towards achieving common objectives through partnerships between parents and teachers. The school staff is committed to the success of each and every student. I thank our chairman and all the members of school trust for their unstinted support in all the activities and to improve the infrastructure of the school. A child is a very special individual who needs a happy, secure and challenging environment to grow. A child’s natural curiosity is to explore his/her world gives teachers the basis on which to build learning experiences that will provide a solid foundation for the early years of schooling. Learning Tree Special School recognises the importance of these early years of schooling. For parents, it is vital that your child receives an excellent start to schooling in a friendly, caring and family atmosphere. Learning Tree Special School provides this environment . We have all trained staff in the field of special education. We work on the holistic development of each and every child.We are also providing early intervention programs for 2- 6 year old children in group or one to one according to child’s need. IEP is created to record the progress of the child. Laminated flash cards and colourful worksheets are used to teach children. TLMs (teaching learning material) is used to teach children in an interesting way. To develop self confidence participation in school events is encouraged like annual day and sports day.To increase the awareness of our students we celebrate various festivals at school. Our school is registered with Special Olympics,this gives our children a chance to participate in various sports. All our focus is on mainstreaming of children. Our long term goal is to make children self independent. Activities being focused on-: * Motor skills (Gross/ fine) * ADL * Social skills * Speech & Language * Academics * Music & Dance * ipad * Talking books We believe each child receives the care, attention and opportunities which will help them learn and develop the self-confidence that they need to grow into successful young adults.
